LEE Jong-hun debuted as a director with the 2015 romantic melodrama <Cat Funeral>. Based on a webcomic of the same name by Writer Hong, the film focused on an artist couple (a musician and a cartoonist) who drift apart but meet up again a year later, following the death of their cat. They go on a trip to give their pet a funeral and reconnect along the way. The film featured Kpop singer KANG In, a member of Super Junior, and TV star PARK Se-young.
