Project Wolf Hunting, Won 2 Awards at the 55th Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival


 

The hard-boiled survival action film, Project Wolf Hunting, won 2 awards at the 55th Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, receiving the Special Jury Prize and the Best Special Effects Award. The Sitges International Film Festival is the largest film festival in Spain. It is considered one of the world's top 3 fantastic film festivals, along with the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival and the Portuguese Fantasporto Film Festival.

 

In his acceptance speech during the awards ceremony, Director Kim Hongsun said, “I've received great inspiration and courage to move on to my next film from the Sitges International Film Festival. I’m sincerely grateful to the best staff members and the best actors who shared the passionate moments with me. I dedicate this honor to numerous horror and fantasy movie fans in Korea, Spain, and the rest of the world," sharing the joy with Actor Choi Gwihwa, who shone the festival together. 

 

Project Wolf Hunting, starring Actors Seo Inguk, Jeong Somin, and Choi Gwihwa, is an extreme hard-boiled survival action film that takes place inside a huge moving prison on the sea that transports heinous criminals from the Pacific Ocean to Korea. The film was officially invited to the Midnight Madness section of the 47th Toronto International Film Festival and recognized for its intense genre charm. 

 

The Roundup, which reached 10 million viewers for the first time since the Pandemic in Korea, also won the Best Picture Award at the Focus Asia People's Choice Award.
