The Woman in the White Car, Screened at the 66th BFI London Film Festival


 

The Woman in the White Car, Actors Jung Ryeowon and Lee Jungeun star in, was officially invited to the BFI London International Film Festival and met overseas audiences. The 66th BFI London International Film Festival, which opened on October 5th (Wed), is the largest international film festival in the UK, and The Woman in the White Car was screened 3 times at Prince Charles Cinema and the ODEON Luxe West End on the 7th to 8th. Even before the opening, the film had set a record for all seats sold out, proving the audience’s expectations for the work. 

 

The film, The Woman in the White Car, is a thriller that follows the story of Dokyung (Jung Ryeowon), a woman who appeared in a small hospital covered in blood, and Hyunjoo (Lee Jungeun), a detective who pursues the truth about the case. The BFI London International Film Festival said, “There’s more to come in Christine Ko’s serpentine thriller, which features more twists than your favourite true-crime podcast and showcases superb performances from its three female leads,” introducing the film. 

 

The Woman in the White Car has also been invited to the 21st San Diego International Film Festival. In particular, Actor Jung Ryeowon will attend the 21st San Diego International Film Festival, which runs from the 19th to 23rd, and visit various official events, including the red carpet, to communicate with the audience. The San Diego International Film Festival is a film fete where you can meet various genres of films produced in various countries. 

 

Director Christine Ko's film, The Woman in the White Car, was recognized for its cinematic value at the 26th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) recently, winning 2 awards: Best Actress in Korean Fantastic and Watcha's Pick for Features.
