OH Dal-su, JUNG Woo and LEE Yu-bi Join NEIGHBOR COUSIN

MIRACLE IN CELL NO.7 Director Returns with High Concept Comedy

Five years after scaling to a record box office with his hit Lunar New Year comedy-drama Miracle in Cell No.7, director LEE Hwan-kyung will return with next year’s Neighbor Cousin (translated title). The high concept comedy brings together actors OH Dal-su, JUNG Woo and LEE Yu-bi.

OH will play a politician under house arrest who develops a friendship with JUNG’s agent who is keeping him under surveillance. Meanwhile, LEE is on board as the daughter of a rival politician.

Known to anyone familiar with Korean cinema, OH is a box office phenomenon whose filmography is the most well-attended of any Korean performer. His hits include The Host (2006), The Thieves (2012), Ode to My Father (2014), Assassination (2015) and Veteran (2015), as well as Miracle in Cell No.7 and many more.

JUNG is known as the co-star of hits such as this year’s New Trial alongside KANG Ha-neul and The Himalayas (2015) with HWANG Jung-min. LEE has appeared in The Royal Tailor (2014) and Twenty (2015) but is more well known for her TV work.

Prior to Miracle in Cell No.7, which welcomed 12.81 million viewers (USD 81.02 million) and is currently the 6th most successful Korean film of all time, director LEE helmed several comedy-dramas such as Lump of Sugar (2006) and Champ (2011).

Neighbor Cousin will begin production in November and should be released at some point in 2018.
