- Song Kang-ho to star as gardener in Nam Dong-hyub's new feature
- by Yonhap / Sep 19, 2025
Award-winning actor Song Kang-ho will star in a new feature film from "Handsome Guys" director Nam Dong-hyub, production company Hive Media Corp. said Thursday.
The film, with the working title of "Gardeners," centers on Young-il (Song), a civil servant with a passion for gardening. Due to a large debt, he ventures into a landscaping business with a neighborhood troublemaker, a decision that plunges their once-quiet village into total chaos.
"Parasite" actor Song most recently appeared in the 2024 sports comedy "One Win" as a volleyball team coach.
The film marks the director's second feature following his distinctive horror-comedy "Handsome Guys," which won him numerous awards, including Best New Director at this year's Directors Cut Awards.
"Gardeners" is currently in pre-production and aims to start filming next year.
