The Witch: Part 2. The Other One, Nominated in the International Competition Section at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival

HANSAN: RISING DRAGON, Entering Europe through the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Which Will Screen 10 K-Movies

 


 

Director Park Hoonjung's The Witch: Part 2. The Other One has entered the international competition section at the 40th Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. In addition, Director Park Daemin's Special Delivery and Director Yoon Youngbin's Tomb of the River have made it to the thriller competition section, while Director Kwon Ohseung's Midnight competes in the New Director section, which has been established newly this year.  

 

The Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival will be held from August 29 to September 10, and 10 Koran films will be screened at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival this year, including Director Kim Hanmin's popular film HANSAN: RISING DRAGON, Director Yoon Jongseok's Confession, Director Kim Yongwan's The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey, Director Choi Jaehun's THE KILLER _ A GIRL WHO DESERVES TO DIE, Director Yeom Jiho’s Next Door, Director Kim Jihoon’s SINKHOLE, etc., meeting about 60 local audiences. Korean Cultural Center in Belgium announced that it will support the screening of 10 Korean films at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, including HANSAN: RISING DRAGON

 

The Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival is known as one of the world's top 3 fantasy film festivals, along with the SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain and the Fantasporto Film Festival in Portugal. The Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, held offline for the first time since the COVID-19 Pandemic, boasts the largest scale ever (102 features and 82 shorts) to celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. 

 

The Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival has a deep connection with Korean cinema. So far, 4 Korean films, including Director Bong Joonho’s The Host and Director Kim Jeewoon’s I Saw the Devil, won the Golden Raven, the highest honor at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, and Director Park Chanwook won the Crow Knight, the Achievement Award in 2017. 

 

Meanwhile, after screening SINKHOLE, which belongs to the Fantastic Session on September 4, the festival will hold a conversation with Director Kim Jihoon, and on September 6, the festival will screen Special Delivery at Korean Film Night. And with the invited local media and audiences, it will hold a conversation with Director Park Daemin
