Black Comedy from Director PARK Jin-young

Korean singer and actress SON Dam-bi has joined the cast of upcoming comedy film That Night (translated title), which will be helmed by director PARK Jin-young. Also joining the cast is KIM Sung-cheol, a new face on the acting scene.

That Night is described as a black comedy about the events and characters in an accompanied suicide cafe. SON Dam-bi will take on the role of Mi-ji in the project while KIM Sung-cheol has signed on to play Doo-seok.

SON Dam-bi has already built an extensive resume through her TV works and will have her film debut with a role in the upcoming sequel The Accidental Detective 2 alongside KWON Sang-woo and SUNG Dong-il, which is currently in post-production and is expected to come out later this year.

KIM Sung-cheol gained notice for his first role last year, which was in the TV drama Prison Play-book. That Night will be his first feature film role.

That Night is being produced by TAEWON ENTERTAINMENT, responsible for past hits such as the Marrying the Mafia (2002) gangster comedy franchise, which has produced five installments to date, the Korean War drama Operation Chromite (2016), which featured Liam Neeson, and the upcoming creature film Monstrum with KIM Myung-min.
