Offering Various Programs for Different Generations
Robot Taekwon V themed museum, V Center opened on the Museum of Moving Image land in Gangdong-gu, Seoul on October 15th. V Center is the first museum by experience in the urban area and features various contents for all ages themed retro animation Robot Taekwon V.
Filmmaker KIM Chung-gi said that “I feel like dreaming,” and “I am so moved to see completed V Center with people’s compassion that almost cried,” in the press conference. Program director
MIN Byung-chun expressed the reason for participation that “It started with a conversation that people who love
Robot Taekwon V have to get together to make V Center.”
V Center is composed of total ten sections and spectators can move to follow its story. Also, it is a theme park style “Live Museum” introducing from birth to sortie of Taekwon V. So it brings lifelike reality to make audiences feel actually inside Taekwon V Base. It had three years to prepare for not only exhibition but also Taekwon V interactive programs for the whole family and Taekwon V Center and Experience Center restored through research.
An official of V Center said that “We built the nation’s first and largest Taekwon V museum through collaborations with artists who can provide new interpretations and interactive experiences for the contents on the basis of intensive investigations.”
Among them, 4D theater, Taekwon V THE RIDE–4D is the biggest screen in Asia, a size of 21m wide and 13m long. You can enjoy the animation Robot Taekwon V which is about fighting against enemies to defend its base in 4D.
Another official of V Center added that “Programs with Dr. HAN Jae-kwon’s research team at the Robot Engineering department of Hanyang University are expected to open a new chapter of robot education. Children can experience the process of robot production and raise dreams of science. It will help to nurture future scientific young talents.”
V Center including family relaxation place, STAGE 28, will become a nostalgic space for adults over age 30 and a scientific educational space for preschool children and elementary school students.
