JUNG Yong-hwa of CNBLUE Debuts with Chinese Film COOK UP a STORM

JUNG Yong-hwa of K-pop band CNBLUE is making his movie debut with Chinese blockbuster Cook Up a Storm produced by Hong Kong-based Emperor Entertainment Group Limited. 

Cook Up a Storm is about a competition between a great cook working in a small restaurant in Guangdong Province and a three-star Michelin chef. They clash at first, but soon become friends and go in for a global cooking competition together. The film is a cooking-themed comedy combined with action and human drama. 

JUNG plays a chef from a Michelin-starred restaurant in the film directed by Lost on Journey (2010) helmer Raymond YIP. He has a fiery showdown with an unknown cook played by Nicholas TSE, the famous Hong Kong actor. In addition, the film featured Chinese top actors and actresses including GE You, Michelle BAI and Tiffany TANG. 

JUNG Yong-hwa is busy doing TV series and music stages as well as emceeing after he started acting with TV series You’re So Beautiful (2009). Cook Up a Storm is his film debut.

Meanwhile, Cook Up a Storm will be released on January 28th, Chinese Lunar New Year’s Day, which is known as the peak season for Chinese theaters.
