"The son I lost nine years ago has come back. But he is not the child I once knew."

Nine years ago, Ryu So-young lost her son when a camping school bus vanished without a trace. Ever since, she has made it through each day by meeting her son as a young boy through an AI program called "Children of Paradise."

Then one day, her son Ryu Seon-woo, whom she believed to be dead, walks back through the door after nine years. The news of his miraculous survival sets the world abuzz, but So-young grows uneasy at the stranger before her: his body is covered in scars, his gaze is cold, and nowhere can she find a trace of the innocent boy she remembers. As So-young, Seon-woo, and the AI-generated childhood Seon-woo begin a strange and uneasy life under one roof, So-young is shaken by the truth about her son that slowly comes to light.

The Korean thriller Paradise Lost is a chilling story of a mother forced to face the gap between the child she remembers and the son who returned.
