Film Train is the film investment and production subsidiary of watch and jewelry group Woorim FMG. Founded in 2003 under the name Musai Film by KIM Yoon-ho, CEO of Woorim FMG, it participated in the financing of several critically-acclaimed films of the early 2000s, such as PARK Chan-wook’s <Oldboy> (2003) and KIM Ki-duk’s <Samaritan Girl> (2004). Film Train made its first step into film production in 2007 with the dramedy <Skeletons in the closet>. After its rebranding, it gained wider recognition for producing RYOO Seung-wan’s critically-acclaimed crime drama <The Unjust> (2010), which won Best Picture at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. <The Truth Beneath> (2015), which the company co-produced with Gummy, also received a lot of praise from the critics, with a Grand Prize awarded by the Busan Film Critics Association.
