Also among the lineup will be the world premiere of Heartbreak Hotel, the Vietnam-Korea co-production Let Hoi Decide and the joint Japan-Korea project Brakemode.

Ode the My Father has been in the news a lot this week both for its appearance at the Berlin International Film Festival and for recently reaching second place on the all time box office chart. From JK Youn, the film stars HWANG Jung-min and KIM Yun-jin.

KIM Tai-sik’s Heartbreak Hotel has been invited as a special screening, alongside Busan International Film Festival closer Paradise in Service from Taiwan, and major festival titles such as Ann HUI’s The Golden Era and TSUKAMOTO Shinya’s Fires on the Plain. Heartbreak Hotel, which partly shot in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, features KANG Ji-hwan and YOON Jin-seo.

Having its international premiere will be CJ Entertainment’s Let Hoi Decide, from Vietnamese filmmaker Charlie NGUYễN. The film recently became the top grossing film of all time at the Vietnamese box office. Meanwhile, Paul YOUNG’s Brakemode will have it world premiere in the Indie Forum lineup.
