TAEMIN and MINJI, a young couple of South Korean tourists, arrive at a small airport in Northern Minnesota, USA. It’s late, the car rental is closed so a driver takes them to their rental home. On the way, the SUV nearly has an accident when an oncoming green truck is stalled in the middle of the winding road. The driver manages to avoid the obstacle at the last moment and continue. Once they arrive to their rental house, while taking a shower, Minji disappears. The SHERIFF of the town has enough evidence to believe that Taemin is responsible for Minji's disappearance. Taemin is taken into custody but he manages to escape. While on the run, Taemin comes across the same green truck that he saw the night before in the middle of the road and, inside, he recognizes a beanie that belongs to Minji. Taemin tracks down DENNY, the owner of the truck, and in his house, he finds Denny and Minji living together as a happy couple. Minji doesn't recognize Taemin who, furious, confronts Denny and accidentally kills him. The police surround the house and, in order to escape from the Sheriff, Taemin takes Minji as a hostage. Under the pouring rain, the truck slips but Taemin manages to stop the vehicle in the middle of the road. Suddenly, an SUV coming from the opposite direction shows up in front of them, recreating the same situation that Minji and Taemin experienced in the beginning. The SUV turns into the forest and a noise of a crash follows. When Taemin and Minji get closer to the accident they can see themselves, both unconscious, masked with blood. We cut into a small hospital room. Taemin and Minji are in coma, hanging on to the last thread of life. Meanwhile, Denny confesses to the Sheriff that the night before, under the pouring rain, he caused the accident that involved two Korean tourists. Now we meet the characters as they really are and we understand that what we have seen in the previous part was a projection that Taemin built in his struggling mind. When we cut back into Taemin's subconscious, Minji finally recognizes him and she joins him in a final fight against the Sheriff. Once they defeat him, they are finally able to fly back home and, as a result of their combined mind effort, they both get out of the coma, together, at the same exact time.
