Kim Saeron Signs Up for Teen Romance US, DAY AFTER DAY

School-Set Tale Based on Kakao Webtoon

Former child star Kim Saeron has signed on to her first film role as an adult, taking on the lead role in the upcoming teen romance Us, Day after Day (translated title). Kim’s co-stars will include new actor Lee Chaemin, Ryoo Uihyun, and Yuju of the Kpop band Cherry Bullet.

Based on the Kakao webtoon of the same name, the film will focus on Yeowool (Kim Saeron), a high school girl who loves basketball. Her best friends are Hosoo (Lee Chaemin) and Joonyeon (Yuju), but when Hosoo confesses his feelings to her, she turns him down which creates an awkward tension between them. Meanwhile, Yeowool has a crush on Hojae (Ryoo Uihyun), the ace on the school’s basketball team.

Kim has been a name in the industry since she was a child, drawing attention as the lead in the 2009 indie A Band New Life and then gaining wide exposure as Won Bin’s young co-star in The Man from Nowhere (2010), which also featured Ryoo Uihyun in a small role. More active on the small screen these days, Kim’s last film role was opposite Don Lee (aka MA Dongseok) in the 2018 thriller Ordinary People.

Us, Day after Day will be produced by the company Wise Wolf, which previously made the 2019 horror film The Labyrinth and the upcoming comedy-drama Come Back Home.
