SUL Kyung-gu, LEE Ha-nee and PARK So-dam Consider GHOST

BELIEVER Director LEE Hae-young Returns with Colonia-Era Spy Film

The agencies of actors SUL Kyung-gu, LEE Ha-nee and PARK So-dam have confirmed that the stars have all received offers to appear in Ghost (translated title), a new spy action-drama set during the Japanese Colonial Era from Believer (2018) director LEE Hae-young

Veteran star SUL, seen last year in Man of Men, Idol and Birthday, recently signed on to director CHUNG Ji-young’s new film Boys (translated title), which will begin production ahead of Ghost.

Extreme Job (2019) star LEE Ha-nee is currently on set for Director LEE Won-suk’s new film Killing Romance (translated title) and is also part of the cast of CHOI Dong-hoon’s two part sci-fi blockbuster Alien (translated title), which entered production earlier this year.

PARK So-dam, who previously appeared in LEE’s Japanese-Colonial-Era horror-mystery-drama The Silenced (2015), is coming off her sensational turn in BONG Joon-ho’s PARASITE (2019), the Best Picture winner at the Academy Awards this year, and for which PARK shared the Best Ensemble Award at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

Director LEE first gained attention as a screenwriter on films such as RYOO Seung-wan’s Arahan (2004) before co-directing the acclaimed coming-of-age drama Like A Virgin (2006) alongside LEE Hae-jun. He went on to direct Foxy Festival (2010) and The Silenced, before scoring a major box-office hit with the action-thriller Believer (2018), a remake of the Johnny TO film Drug War from 2012.

Ghost is being produced by The Lamp, the production company behind the hits A Taxi Driver (2017) and last year’s MAL·MO·E: The Secret Mission.
