The fourth Seoul International Architecture Film Festival will open on 8th November and go on until the 14th at Arthouse Momo, at the ECC, Ewha Women’s University. The topic of the festival this year is “the city” and the event will screen architectural films set in places from Seoul to Istanbul, on planet earth and outer space as well as those set in the present and future, crossing time and space.

KIM Hyung-soo, the festival's director said “just like listening to sweet music and looking at a beautiful picture, we tried to find ways of appreciating architecture in a comfortable and approachable way. The Seoul International Architecture Film Festival is a party where people can enjoy and share the joys of architecture with happy architects.”

The opening film is Ekumenopolis by Turkish director Imre AZEM which is about the threat of urbanization which endangers lives. The closing film, Kochuu is a documentary about how traditional Japanese architecture has influenced Northern European modern architecture. The event will also screen director JEONG Jae-eun’s documentary Talking Architect which is about Korea's master of public architecture as well as a maverick in the field, the late JEONG Ki-yong’s works.
