GANG Dong-won to Star in Hollywood Disaster Movie TSUNAMI LA

GANG’s New Projects Also Include INRANG and GOLDEN SLUMBER
Actor GANG Dong-won is heading to Hollywood. On December 18th, GANG Dong-won’s management agency YG Entertainment confirmed the actor would star in Tsunami LA, a Hollywood natural disaster movie that will be directed by Simon West. The film features the most massive tidal wave in history of striking in Los Angeles. Shooting will take place in England and Mexico starting in next March, for release sometime in 2019.
British director Simon West is well known in directing action movies. His filmography includes films such as The Expendables 2, The Mechanic, Lara croft: Tomb Raider and Con Air. “It makes me happy to be able to show the world an actor with excellent skills through this project.” West said. GANG also expressed his enthusiasm for the film. “I am looking forward to my new project and my character.” GANG said and added, “I am honored to have an opportunity to team up with talented people.”
Tsunami LA will be the first leading role in a foreign film for GANG who earlier this year received the Star Asia Award at the 16th New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) for fantasy drama VANISHING TIME: A BOY WHO RETURNED (2016). The actor is currently shooting director KIM Jee-woon’s upcoming thriller Inrang (working title) and will star in Golden Slumber, the Korean adaptation of the Japanese novel by ISAKA Kotaro of the same name which will be released in 2018. GANG makes an appearance in the political drama 1987: When the Day Comes, which is released on December 27th.
