In the Way of Business Matching Arrangements in Advance During BIFF
Busan Film Commission (BFC) will provide forums to exchange film contents between countries in Asia. For three days from October 15th to 17th during
Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), 2017 LINK OF CINE-ASIA will be held at Paradise Hotel, Busan. This is a global event to seek ways of local development through video contents such as attracting filming to the locations of Asian countries and specialized business. From this year, it will be operated in the way of business matching in advance, instead of exhibition stands. Any project in any genre available for transmedia can participate in this event. Filmmakers even from underdeveloped film industries are able to meet investors, producers and supporters in their planning and development stages.
2017 LINK OF CINE-ASIA will be organized with Cine-BIZ ASIA (the Business Batching Program) and Forums. In addition, it is the first time that Busan Lounge and AFCNet Lounge have been launched in the event. Cine-BIZ ASIA will match triangular meetings: 20 supporting organizations from 20 countries (Group A), 50 projects including film, VR and web cartoon (Group B) and 33 companies who are interested in co-production (Group C). Forums will deal with new filmmaking technologies, attracting Hollywood projects and their ripple effects and location information of Jordan, New Zealand and the Philippines. Besides, various pitching programs related to BFC business will be featured.
