LIM Soo-jung Takes on YOUR REQUEST

First Commercial Film for Myung Films Institute Graduate LEE Dong-eun

Actress LIM Soo-jung is set to return to the big screen in the drama Your Request. From director LEE Dong-eun, the project will be produced by Myung Films. The story is based on the 2015 book Your Request - My Other Mother, which was written by director LEE and illustrated by JEONG Yi-yong.

Your Request will feature LIM as Hyo-jin who lives with the son of her late husband. LIM last appeared in KIM Jong-kwan’s indie The Table and the fantasy romantic thriller Time Renegades last year and has worked in the past with KIM Jee-woon (A Tale of Two Sisters, 2003) and PARK Chan-wook (I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK, 2006).

Director LEE debuted last year with the well-reviewed In Between Seasons. Exploring a tale of intolerance between a mother and the male lover of her comatose son, the film debuted at the Busan International Film Festival in the New Currents section, where it won the KNN Award.

Myung Films, responsible for several modern Korean classics, such as PARK Chan-wook’s Joint Security Area / JSA (2000), IM Sang-soo’s A Good Lawyer’s Wife (2003), recently set up the Myung Films Institute. In Between Seasons was the school’s first graduation project.
