Awarded at 57th New York Festivals Intl. TV & Film Awards

Let Me Out, the debut of KIM Chang-lae and Jae SOH, added another line to its list of accomplishments by receiving the Gold Medal at the 57th Annual New York Festivals International Television and Film Awards at the 2014 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show.

First screened at the Dallas International Film Festival in 2012, Let Me Out is a story of an arrogant film student who is quick to doll out criticism to his fellow students while having yet to debut as a filmmaker himself. He gets his chance when he receives USD 5,000, but as he sets out to make his debut, a zombie film, things quickly spiral out of control.

The film stars KWON Hyun-sang, the up-and-coming star of Almost Che (2012), The Tower (2012) and the incoming Tattooist, and PARK Hee-bon, a member of the former K-pop group MILK. The film also features a cameo from director LEE Myung-se.

The film about filmmaking also screened at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan) and has the distinction of being the first Korean film to be simultaneously released in Korea and the United States. Distributed by Giant Ape Media, Let Me Out will bow on North American DVD on May 27th.
