RYU Seung-ryong Wins Grand Prize at Baeksang Arts Awards

MASQUERADE Picks Up Best Film and Best Director Prizes
 
  
 
 
RYU Seung-ryong of Masquerade and Miracle in Cell No. 7 won the Grand Prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards. On May 9th, RYU took home the Grand Prize in the film category at the Baeksang Arts Awards held at the Peace Hall of Kyunghee University. “I was an actor five years ago and ten years ago,” RYU said. “I will become an actor that dreams of a change.”

The Best Actor and Actress Prizes went to HA Jung-woo of The Berlin File and KIM Min-hee of Very Ordinary Couple. The Best Film Prize went to Masquerade while its director CHOO Chang-min picked up the Best Director Prize. MA Dong-seok and CHO Eun-ji won the Best Supporting Actor and Actress Prizes for The Neighbors and The Concubine, respectively. The Best New Actor and Actress Prizes were awarded to JI Dae-han of A Wonderful Moment and HAN Ye-ri of As One, respectively.

The Best Screenplay Prize landed in the hands of director JUNG Byung-gil of Confession of Murder. JO Sung-hee, director of A Werewolf Boy was honored with the Best New Director Prize. The People's Choice Prizes were given to KIM Dong-wan of Deranged and PARK Shin-hye of Miracle in Cell No. 7, respectively. Meanwhile, AHN Sung-ki took home the Social Contribution Prize.
