KOFIC Holds 2017 K-Cinema Global Networking in Vietnam

In Ho Chi Minh City, from June 14 to 16
Korean Film Council (KOFIC) and the Vietnam Cinema Department will co-host ‘2017 K-Cinema Global Networking in Vietnam’ in Ho Chi Minh City for three days from June 14th (Wed.) to 16th (Fri.). The second edition of the event is designed to expand film exchanges, to promote co-production and to create joint business models between the two countries.
On June 14th, the first day of the event, there will be Korean-Vietnamese film industries cooperation forums and presentations about Korean-Vietnamese cooperation projects. On the second day, there will be film industry exchanges night and one on one business meetings between film companies in areas of production, investment, distribution and animation. In addition, one on one business meetings and tours to Vietnamese film companies and studios will be held on the last day.
Meanwhile, 2016 K-Cinema Global Networking in Vietnam has gained tangible results such as co-productions of two films, CG collaboration and discussing animation outsourcing through one on one business meetings.
Currently, KOFIC is recruiting participating companies for 2017 K-Cinema Global Networking in Vietnam; companies which have specific plans to collaborate with Vietnamese film companies including co-production, selling remake rights and universal release among Korean productions, distributors, post-production companies, animation companies and sales companies. A total of ten companies will be selected through evaluation and they will be provided with accommodation and interpretation.
