MIN Kyu-dong has been directing in Korea since the late 1990’s. His debut feature was the schoolhouse horror film <Memento Mori> (1999), both a cult favorite and critical darling.
A renowned old poet of Korea, LEE Jeok-yo (PARK) has adopted an untalented but devoted student, the young novelist SEO Ji-woo (KIM Moo-yul), as his protege. Their relationship is a complicated one, equal parts love and hate, admiration and criticism. It becomes further complicated when 17-year-old HAN Eun-gyo (KIM Go-eun) seeks out the aged poet. Despite an alarming age difference, Jeok-yo finds himself entranced by Eun-gyo’s charm and vibrancy. Ji-woo, a more appropriate suitor, also finds himself becoming slowly obsessed with the young girl. As this love triangle becomes more intense, resentment sets in between teacher and student, and Ji-woo must make a decision between love, lust and loyalty to his mentor.

A veteran of Korean film, JUNG Ji-woo broke out with his 1996 short film <A Bit Bitter> and soon after achieved stardom both at home and abroad with his controversial 1999 feature <Happy Ending>. Since then, he has contributed to the 2005 omnibus <If You Were Me 2>, directed the features <Blossom Again> (2005) and <Modern Boy> (2008), and helped write the script for the 2010 hit thriller <Moss>, which took in over 3 million admissions.
poster :
Genres : Romance
Release Date : Apr 25, 2012
Director : JUNG Ji-woo
Main Cast : PARK Hae-il, GIM Mu-yeol, KIM Go-eun

Chinese table tennis pro DENG Yaping, nicknamed “The Ping Pong Witch,” has previously defeated the best players from both North and South Korea, LEE Bun-hee (BAE) and HYUN Jung-hwa (HA), respectively. When the two get a chance to play together on a Unified Korea doubles team at the 1991 Chiba International Table Tennis Championships -- the first post-war unified team for the two Koreas, in any sport -- they know their combined forces will finally beat DENG and the Chinese. However, politics and dissension unsurprisingly conspire to disband the Unified team before their final match against China. HYUN and LEE must now fight for the opportunity to compete as a unified team before they can face DENG in a final showdown.

<As One> is the debut feature from director MOON Hyun-sung. The film is based on the true story of the Unified Korean team’s performance at the 1991 Chiba Championships, and the real HYUN Jung-hwa makes a special appearance in the film as the Unified team’s coach.
poster :
Genres : Drama
Release Date : May 03, 2012
Director : MOON Hyun-sung
Main Cast : HA Ji-won, BAE Doo-na, HAN Ye-ri, CHOI Yoon-young

A band of infamous Korean thieves receives an irresistible offer from their former partner, Macao Park: steal <Tears of the Sun>, a 418-carat diamond, hidden in a Macao casino. Popai is the muscle and brain, Pepsy is the safecracker, Anicall is the wall-climber and Zampano is the tactician. Together they do not hesitate to take up the offer.

Upon their arrival in Hong Kong, they meet the Chinese crew; Poker Face Chen, Nerveless Andrew and Jonny, and undercover cop Julie. Once the team is assembled, Macao Park lets them in on the plan. Penetrating into the casino will require more than a miracle to break in, but miracles are their specialty. But troubles are aplenty as Popai and Macao Park butt heads. Macao Park is cold, never putting his emotion in front of the job. But Pepsy, reminiscing her past with Macao Park, has lingering feelings for him, which distracts her. And just like every other member of the team, Anicall has her own plan to keep the diamond for herself. Macao Park’s scheme, however, runs deeper and plans to capture Wei-Hong, the owner of the diamond and see his revenge.

On the day of the heist, they walk into the casino not knowing that the cops are staking out in the vicinity on Julie’s tip. What is Macao Park’s real motive behind gathering the thieves in one place? Who will betray them all? And who will eventually possess the diamond?

This music documentary follows the artists of SM TOWN as they prepare for their live performance at one of the world’s most prestigious concert venues: Madison Square Garden in New York. Though the unprecedented in South Korea documentary-concert film focuses on the live concert, the movie also sheds light on the performers who are living their dream and what defines them as people. Ultimately the movie is a touching coming-of-age story about the growing pains and glory of the young artists.
Juxtaposed against popular images of frivolous teen stars, the movie aims to illustrate the hardships the performers endure—from auditions to the training period—to get on stage and perform for just 4 minutes.
I AM: SM TOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in Madison Square Garden touchingly embodies youth and the evolution of the performers.

In three chapters, two acclaimed Korean directors probe the state of human compassion in the era of high technology. Across the installments we witness robots attaining Buddhist nirvana, zombie attacks as ecological allegories, and the possibility of black holes on the Internet. These vignettes thematically offer an alternative definition of humanity that the world may very well need to embrace in the near future.

KIM Ji-woon made his directorial debut with his own screenplay for 1998’s <The Quiet Family>. Through his successive features – which include <The Foul King> (2000), <A Tale of Two Sisters> (2003), and <A Bittersweet Life> (2005) – he has firmly established himself as a blockbuster director. His 2008 <The Good, The Bad, The Weird> took in nearly 7 million admissions domestically.

YIM Pil-seong has been making short films since 1997, with his <Baby> (1999) screening at both the Venice Film Festival and Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
