A lone child finds herself on the verge of being adopted by the perfect family she has been seeking. At her grandmother’s funeral, 13-year-old Suyeon, finds herself utterly alone following the death of her sole guardian. But, Suyeon has been preparing for this moment and has a plan. She already made a promise to be informally adopted by her best friend’s family, wholeheartedly believing they would be eager and willing to accept her. However, she gets rejected by her best friend and her family, then goes through one family after another in the foster care system.
