  • Myung Films Reunites with IN BETWEEN SEASONS Director

Actress LIM Soo-jung wrapped production on Your Request (translated title) on July 27th in Cheongju. From director LEE Dong-eun, the drama co-stars YOON Chan-young and LEE Sang-hee and is produced by Myung Films. LIM plays a widow in the film who tries to continue her life as she lives with the 16-year-old son of her deceased husband, played by YOON.

Active since 2003, LIM became a star when she featured in KIM Jee-woon’s horror A Tale of Two Sisters. Other major credits include PARK Chan-wook’s I’m a Cyborg, but That’s OK (2006) and MIN Kyu-dong’s All About My Wife (2012). She’s back on screens later this month in KIM Jong-kwan’s The Table, which debuted at the Busan International Film Festival last October.

YOON has appeared in small roles in films before, such as in comedy-horror Mourning Grave (2014) and horror Manhole (2014) but has recently built his fanbase through several popular TV dramas.

Meanwhile, LEE has impressed in indie cinema with her roles in End of Winter (2014) and last year’s Our Love Story, while also taking on several smaller roles in mainstream films, including a supporting part in next month’s comedy-drama I Can Speak

Director LEE debuted last year with the low-budget queer drama In Between Seasons, which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival, where it won the KNN Movie Award. Prior to that, he was a scripter on the indie thriller Intruders (2014). His debut was one of the first Myung Films Institute projects.
