BAE Chang-ho`s Road wins top prize at Philadelphia

Road, the 17th film by veteran director Bae Chang-ho, was named the winner of the top prize at the Philadelphia International Film Festival.
The film, about a blacksmith in 1970s Korea who comes across a young woman connected to his tragic past, was presented with the Jury Award for Best Feature Film by the festival's jury. The film was originally invited to the festival as part of a focus on New Korean Cinema.
Produced by Isan Productions and sold internationally by Mirovision, the film also screened recently at the Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy, where it was voted the 6th most popular film by the audience.
