  • Daisy Entertainment launches sales with Taste of Money
  • Feb 09, 2012

  • South Korean company Daisy Entertainment, better known for their foreign film imports and increasingly visible distribution arm Cinergy, has launched international sales on director IM Sang-soo’s upcoming <The Taste of Money>.

Daisy has also hired a new Director of International Sales, Erica NAM, who previously worked at sales companies Mirovision and KM Culture. The new sales team has opened their first market booth at the European Film Market (EFM).

From the director of Cannes competition film <The Housemaid>, <The Taste of Money> stars veteran actress YOUN Yuh-jung, who also played a supporting role in the former film. In the new film, Youn plays a rich man’s wife who covets her family’s young handsome fixer, played by KIM Gang-woo. BAEK Yun-shick from <The President’s Last Bang> and KIM Hyo-jin from <Life Is Peachy> also star in this story of lust, power and money. The film wrapped production late last month and is currently in post-production.

Daisy Entertainment’s EFM slate also includes films such as KIM Yong-han’s thriller <Don’t Cry Mommy>, which is in post-production, and a four-part omnibus film called <Horror Stories> (working title). Currently in pre-production, the directing team of Kim-Sun and Kim-Gok will direct one horror story, while Jung Bum-shik, Lim Dae-woong, and Hong Ji-young are to each direct another.

Cinergy recently co-distributed <Pacemaker> and <S.I.U. (Special Investigations Unit)> with Lotte Entertainment in South Korea.
