CJ Entertainment and US-based Ivanhoe Pictures will co-produce 3 films from Indonesian director Joko ANWAR

Ghost in the Cell. Joko ANWAR, the most well-known Indonesian director in the world, will helm these three projects which are based on his own original screenplays. His latest film,
Satan’s Slaves was produced by
CJ Entertainment and Rapi Films. It attracted 4.2 million spectators in Indonesia, thus becoming the fifth best-selling local film in Indonesia as the most successful horror film to date, and also found commercial success in other countries of the region.
According to Ivanhoe Pictures president and CEO John PENOTTI, “This marks the first partnership between U.S., Indonesian and Korean filmmakers with the purpose of collaborating on local-language films”.
