  • Latest Feature from OH In-chun & Kinema Factory Invited to Arizona Film Festival

Director OH In-chun's new film The DMZ will soon be meeting audiences overseas. On March 16, the film's production company Kinema Factory announced that The DMZ had been officially invited to the 27th Arizona International Film Festival.

In The DMZ, a female agent in hot pursuit of a criminal in an area near the Korean Demilitarized Zone finds herself caught in a sticky situation when she discovers that she has stepped on a landmine. Armed with only a bluetooth earpiece and a gun, the agent has to fight for her survival against a cast of colorful adversaries while unable to move at the risk of triggering an explosion.

The film stars Ju Min-ha, who previously appeared in Lost & Found (2010) and Sketch (2014) and also starred in OH's horror-thriller NIGHTSCAPE (2017), which screened in the ‘Focus on World Cinema’ section at the 41st Montreal World Film Festival. OH appears to be a busy director lately, having also recently helmed Wol-ha : Very Bad Moon Rising (2017) in addition to The DMZ and NIGHTSCAPE

The Arizona International Film Festival bills itself as the oldest and longest running independent film festival in Arizona. The festival, which takes place annually in the city of Tucson, focuses on independent films with original themes and unique, artistic visions. This year the Arizona International Film Festival will run from April 18-29 and will screen nearly 90 films from 21 countries. The DMZ was the only feature film invited from Asia.

Meanwhile, The DMZ is aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of this year.
