FAM TOUR in BUSAN to go from Occasional Event to Regular Program
FAM TOUR in Busan, a regular program operated by
Busan Film Commission (BFC), took place from October 18th to 21st. “We are offering the opportunity for Hollywood location managers and domestic agency officials to see around 31 major locations in Busan over four days.” BFC said in a news release.
Four location managers from Hollywood are attending the event, including Dow Griffith of The Bourne Legacy (2012), Patrick Mignano of Suicide Squad (2016) and Justice League (2017), S. Todd Christensen of The Hunger Games (2012) and Sicario (2015) and Ravi Dube of Captain Phillips (2013) and The Outsider (2017). The FAM TOUR also invited producer GANG Yoon-tae and HWANG Sung-kwon, who were in charge of filming Black Panther (2018) in Busan and The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) in Seoul.
BFC, which recently attracted
Black Panther and
Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018) to Busan for filming locations, has extended FAM TOUR in BUSAN from an occasional event into a regular program in order to further promote Busan to world markets. At the second FAM TOUR, it plans to give a presentation about ‘Filming in Busan’ on October 21st, the last day of the event, so that the tour can lead to attracting actual filming locations. The presentation will introduce the incentive programs of BFC and the
Korean Film Council (KOFIC), cases of projects shot in Korea and domestic production agencies.
