Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and the Asian Cinema Fund (ACF) created the ACF Production Support Fund for feature-length independent film fund and has issued its call for submissions for this year’s edition. Launched in 2006, ACF is committed to help activate indie film productions and introduce young directors through script development of indies and post-production and documentary production support for ten years. This year, ACF will select a scenario of feature-length fiction film from projects by directors who have Korean nationality and directed at least one feature film that has been released. Selected project will be provided with USD 179,000 cash grant and post-production. Registration is available from June 19th to 30th. In addition, the Asian Project Market (APM) is looking for new projects of Asian directors. APM is eligible for feature-length fiction film projects in any stage of production. Applicants need to fill out online application form including director’s intention, synopsis, treatment and production schedules. Deadline for submission will be June 15th. Representative of the project will be officially invited to APM and provided with one-on-one meetings with film industry professionals. Also, selected projects will be nominated for APM awards. After participation, project progress needs to be shared continuously. Registration is available online at APM official website (http://apm.asianfilmmarket.org).
