JIMFF to Conclude Submission on March 31st
Jecheon International Music & Film festival (JIMFF), which brought a music film sensation to Korean theaters, has announced its schedule this year. The 13th edition of JIMFF’s organizing committee issued a press release on March 23rd saying that the festival will take place for six days from August 10th to 15th.
The official of JIMFF, which has arranged meetings with films and music every summer since 2005, said that “We have prepared programs filled with 100% of music films and various music programs including One Summer Night.” JIMFF will make
MEGABOX in Jecheon as the center theater, and One Summer Night will be held on the stage of Cheongpung Lakeside. In addition, ‘Uirim Summer Night’ will be conducted on the stage of Uirimji Reservoir and various programs are going to run in the Jecheon City Cultural Center and all over the city.
JIMFF has brought a music film sensation by introducing music films like Once, Copying Beethoven, Chico & Rita and Searching for Sugar Man so far. These films attracted the attention at JIMFF and hit local cinemas, so music films such as One Step and Again, Cherry Blossoms have been made in Korea, too. JIMFF recruited feature and short music films including drama, documentary, animation and experimental films that have been made under diverse musical themes until March 31st.
