- CJ CGV Opened Its 20th Theater in Indonesia

- 8 More Theaters to Be Added Before the End of the Year
CJ CGV has announced to have opened their 20th theater in Indonesia, CGV Blitz Slipi in western Jakarta, on May 26th. It has been 2 years and 4 months since CJ CGV launched business in Indonesia in January 2014 by trust management of Blitz Megaplex.CGV Blitz Slipi has 4 screens and 674 seats, and is located in Slipi Jaya Plaza, a mega shopping mall at the heart of office town and residential area. CJ has launched what is called the premium 3S service (Seat, Screen and Sound) to provide the best environment for the audience. With the opening of CGV Blitz Slipi, CJ CGV now has 20 theaters with 143 screens. Currently, the biggest theater chain in Indonesia is XXL which occupies 75% of the screens in this country.
CJ CGV is planning on a more aggressive drive on its business in Indonesia. It is to add 8 more theaters this year including CGV Blitz Slipi, and thus generating USD 52 million sales. CJ CGV has made USD 29.4 million sales last year from 19 theaters. The number of audience is also to increase to 10 million from 7 million last year.
