It's CHEN Bolin's Second Time to Partner up with a Korean Actress
Korea's
HA Ji-won and Taiwanese star actor CHEN Bolin confirmed that they both are going to be in
A Deadly Love (Korean title), a new China-Korea co-production.
A thriller drama with a romance touch,
A Deadly Love will be
SONG Min Kyu's directorial debut. SONG previously produced
KANG Je-kyu's war blockbuster
My Way, starring big name actors from China, Japan and Korea, in 2011.
HA, who initially debuted as a TV drama actress in 1996's
Adults Don't Know, quickly expanded her career realm to films with
KIM Ki-young's
Truth Game in 2000, and has starred in more than 15 films spanning romance, horror, sex comedy and action, since then. Her previous works include early 2000's erotic comedy
Sex Is Zero,
JK YOUN 's disaster blockbuster
Haeundae, and most recently, actor turned director
HA Jung-woo's Chinese novel adaptation
Chronicle of a Blood Merchant.
CHEN, who is best known for his awards-winning role in Taiwanese TV drama
In Time With You, has also performed in a few other significant films that include: hit Chinese movie
The Continent; the
CJ E&M-produced Chinese remake of
Miss Granny,
20 Once Again; and another China-Korea co-production,
The Bad Man Must Die starring
Son Ye-jin.
Earlier this year, CHEN signed with BM+ Entertainment, HA's management agency, in preparation for his advance into the Korean entertainment industry. HA also signed a management contract with CHEN's agency, Invincible Plan for her future activities in Taiwan.
