Nation Wide Release through Toho Cinema

KANG Je-kyu’s Salut d’Amour will finally be released on September 25th in Japan. According to the distributor CJ Entertainment, Salut d’Amour is to be shown in theaters across whole Japan through Toho Cinema’s distribution network.

When domestically released last April in Korea, Salut d’Amour was warmly received attracting 1.16 milion viewers nation wide. It is KANG’s first film in 4 years since My Way, and it is interesting to see how well it will do in box office when Ode to My Father, also distributed by CJ Entertainment, is currently being shown in Japanese theaters as well.

Salut d’Amour is a melodrama showing how Sung-chil (played by PARK Keun-hyong) and Geumnim (played by YOUN Yuh-jung) go through life changes with newly found love, and the kind neighbors who are happy for the old couple’s love.
