- 17th Far East Film Festival to Screen 10 Korean Films

The Far East Film Festival returns in two weeks for its 17th edition and as always a large contingent of Korean films is peppered across the lineup. 10 films from the peninsula will screen this year, among them five international and international festival premieres.Screening for the very first time overseas will be LIM Charn-sang’s romantic film My Love, My Bride, a remake of LEE Myung-se’s original, which stars JO Jung-suk and SHIN Min-a, as well as the K-horror The Wicked from director YOO Young-sun, which debuted at the Jeonju International Film Festival last year.Having their first festival screenings overseas will be YOO Ha’s period gangster epic Gangnam Blues, LEE Kwon’s romantic thriller My Ordinary Love Story, the closing film of last year’s Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and LEE Won-suk’s colourful period yarn The Royal Tailor, featuring HAN Suk-kyu and KO Soo.Meanwhile, LEE Do-yun’s nourish drama Confession, E J-yong’s melodrama My Brilliant Life, with GANG Dong-won and SONG Hye-kyo, and KANG Hyoung-chul’s crime sequel Tazza: The Hidden Card will all be having their European debuts. Also screening will be JK YOUN’s blockbuster melodrama Ode to My Father and BOO Ji-young’s social drama Cart.Dubbed the film festival for popular Asian cinema, the event will take place in Udine, Italy from April 23rd to May 2nd.
