JO Jin-kyu’s THE SHADOW ZONE Among the List
The 18th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan) to be held from July 17 to 27th has announced the official selection for ‘It Project’, a section within Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF). NAFF is an industry program for film industry professionals focusing on film development, co-production, financing, and post-production. It also consists of Industry Program (Project Spotlight, NAFForum, Industry Library), and Fantastic Film School as well. It Project is especially beneficial to filmmakers because it supports projects through providing the opportunity to meet industry professionals and potential investors, exclusively for this genre market.
The 7th edition of the ‘It Project’ closed submissions on May 4th, and NAFF has finalized the list to 21 different projects from a total of 156 submissions from 24 countries. The Korean titles include LEE Yong-dae’s Lake Forest Academy, SON Kwang-soo’s Like, CHANG Hoon’s Logout, Bae Ian’s Man of 100 Days, LEE Ju-hean’s N.S.I. and JO Jin-kyu’s The Shadow Zone. JO is more experienced among the group, with having two of My Wife is a Gangster (2001, 2006) franchise under his filmography, along with last year’s PARK Shin-yang led, Man on the Edge. NAFF will take place at the Koryo Hotel from July 20 to 23rd.
