  • JUNG Yu-Mi Steps into MANHOLE

    HONG Sangsoo's frequent leading actress JUNG Yu-Mi has chosen the thriller Manhole from director SHIN Jae-young as her next project. Featuring alongside her will be child star KIM Sae-ron and JUNG Kyung-ho.
     
    Roller Coaster star JUNG Kyung-ho will appear as a serial killer who uses manholes to kidnap his victims. KIM Sae-ron, from The Man from Nowhere (2010), will play the child who becomes his next abductee while JUNG Yu-mi stars as the girl’s older sister who tries to find her before time runs out
     
    JUNG has appeared in many HONG Sangsoo films, including Our Sunhi, In Another Country (2012) and Oki’s Movie (2010). Her most recent film was Tough as Iron, in which she co-starred with YOO Ah-in, who is also her voice cast partner in upcoming animation The Satellite Girl and Milk Cow. Manhole is slated to begin production next week.
     
    Meanwhile, TV and drama star JANG Hee-jin, from The Showdown (2011) and current SBS drama The Woman Who Married Three Times, will appear in new melodrama The End of the World. JANG will feature as a teacher on an island who is sought out by a private detective because of her rare blood type. Soon a romance develops between the two. Directing will be KIM Mun-heum, who previously made Circle of Crime (2012).
