  • Korean Cinema Goes to the Philippines

  • 2013 Korean Film Festival to Take Place in 4 Cities
     
     
    Six Korean films will be screened at the upcoming Korean Film Festival ’13: New Wave of Korean Cinema across four cities in the Philippines. The festival will take place in Manila, Iloilo, Cebu and Davao between September 18th and October 10th.
     
    The varied program will include the hit period film Masquerade, starring LEE Byung-hun, the disaster thriller Deranged, the ensemble film Sunny, the romantic comedy Dancing Queen, the supernatural romance A Werewolf Boy and the indie animation Green Days.
     
    The film festival will begin at the SM Megamall in Manila where it will run from September 18th to 22nd. Then it will move on to the SM Iloilo from September 26th to 29th . Next the event will move to the SM in Cebu from October 3rd to 6th. The festival will perform its last leg in the SM Lanang in Davao over October 10th to 13th. Korean Film Festival ’13: New Wave of Korean Cinema will be staged in cooperation with the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), the Korea Tourism Organization – Manila (KTO) and the Korea Copyright Commission.
