The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival(DMZ Docs) will change its venue. The 5th DMZ Docs will be held in Goyang between October 17th and 23rd. Previous editions were held at the publication complex of Paju, Gyeonggi-do, but they decided to move to Goyang with the intention to better communicate with the public according to the management office.

As the first activity for this years edition, the festival will elect a new organizing committee on May 27. New members of the organizing committee will be appointed to their positions during the event including CHOI Seong, the mayor of Goyang, who will be named a vice-chairman. KIM Mun-su, the chairman of the organizing committee asked committee members and other related people for active cooperation and support. He decided to form a new committee by letting LEE In-jae, the mayor of Paju, continue his position as a vice chairman and appointing CHOI Seong, the mayor of Goyang as another vice chairman.

At the new venue, the 5th DMZ Docs is going to show the wide possibilities of documentaries by screening films of various themes arousing social attention about peace, life and communication.
