Reunites with CLOUD ATLAS Directors
Following a very successful Hollywood debut in
Cloud Atlas, one of last year’s most talked about event pictures, local star
BAE Doo-na has been tapped once again to star in a major Hollywood production. The WACHOWSKI siblings, who co-directed
Cloud Atlas with Tom Tykwer, have cast her once again in their new picture
Jupiter Ascending.
The film tells of a girl who dreams of the stars but is stuck in a deadend job. One day a genetically engineered ex-military hunter arrives on Earth looking for her and only then does she realize that she was meant for greater things. BAE will join cast leads Channing TATUM and Mila KUNIS, as well as Sean BEAN, Eddie REDMAYNE, Douglas BOOTH and Tuppence MIDDLETON in the new sci-fi flick.
The new WACHOWSKI film, which sounds like a sci-fi retelling of the popular
Snow White on a very large scale, is already filming and will hit theaters in the US on June 25th next year. Following the
LEE Byung-hun’s success with the two
G.I. Joe films and the
Red 2, will BAE be the next Korean star to make it big in Hollywood?
