Films from the 2nd PiFan Youth Film Academy have been invited to Japan’s Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival to be held from February 21st to 25th. Officials from the Pucheon International Fantastic Film Festival said, “In the past, one or two films from the academy have been invited by international film festivals but this is the first time for all of the films from the academy to be invited. This is proof that the level of the work at the academy is high and we’re proud of it. We’ll continue to contribute to the overall development of the Korean film industry and work harder to educate the youth."

 

The third PiFan Youth Film Academy will be held from January 7th for three weeks and it will consist of lectures and workshops where young people will gain experience in film production. The head of the academy will be director KIM Dae-seung of The Concubine and the director of cinematography of Masquerade, LEE Tae-yoon, will be one of the teachers.
