CJ E&M has decided to collaborate with the Kakao team (www.kakao.com) to introduce ‘Kakao Page’, which will feature various contents including films, TV shows and music. CJ E&M announced on November 11th that they agreed on the strategic cooperation with the Kakao team to sell their films, TV shows and music on ‘Kakao Page’, which will start providing services by the first quarter of next year. ‘Kakao Page’ is a mobile content platform based on Kakao Talk, which already has 66 million registered members.

 

By making this agreement, CJ E&M is aiming to lead the content consuming trend in the mobile world by making new and exclusive contents for ‘Kakao Page’ and reproducing existing contents to fit the mobile environment.

 

CJ E&M expects to meet the wide spectrum of mobile users’ needs as their contents are suitable for serial or bundled theme service models as provided on Kakao Page. “We expect that Kakao Page will bring a whole new innovation to the mobile content market in terms of production methods, selling units and consumption patterns.”, said a representative of CJ E&M, “Starting with TV show contents, we will actively consider introducing more contents including films and music on Kakao Page.”
