OLDBOY, selected as one of the top 10 films by ‘Total Film’

Old Boy (2003) was ranked at number 10 in the list of the ‘50 Best Movies of Total Film Magazine's Lifetime’ selected by ‘Total Film’, a major film magazine in the UK. The 1st place was taken by
The Lord of the Rings trilogy directed by Peter JACKSON, which was released in 2001~2003. The 2nd best film was
Memento (2001) directed by Christopher NOLAN. In 3rd place was Paul Thomas ANDERSON’s
There Will be Blood (2007).
Magnolia (1999), another film directed by Paul Thomas ANDERSON, followed at number four. Their fifth choice was
Mulholland Drive (2001) by David LYNCH.
The 6th to 9th places were taken by Christopher NOLAN’s Dark Knight (2008), David FINCHER’s Fight Club (1999), Sofia COPPOLA’s Lost In Translation (2003) and Guillermo del TORO’s Pan's Labyrinth (2006) respectively. Old Boy was followed by The White Ribbon (2009) directed by Michael HANEKE in 11th place.
The Hollywood’s version of Old Boy directed by Spike LEE will be released in January 2013. This remake version stars Josh BROLIN, Sharlto COPLEY, Elizabeth OLSEN and Samuel L. JACKSON.
