KOFIC opens Indieplus for independent films, a designated theater directly run by KOFIC for the first time, in Seoul on March 10. KOFIC has entrusted the operation of the designated theater for independent films to other theaters, but KOFIC recently decides to run a theater directly, at Broadway Cinema in Sinsa Station, Gangnam, to avoid an unnecessary controversy about the fairness. Opening with <The Journal of Musan> by Director PARK Jung-bum, <RE-encounter> by MIN Yong-geun and <Bleak Night> by YOON Sung-hyun were screened to celebrate its opening. KOFIC will form a committee, consisting of people in the independent film field, to discuss its annual operating plans and programs.
