  • At the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Two Days from June 20th
     

    The 6th KOFIC Global Forum will be held at the Korean Chamber of Commerce for two days on June 20th (Tues.) and 21st (Wed.) where participants can share the latest trends of global film markets and find ways of competitiveness reinforcement of Korean film industry. 

    The forum organized by Korean Film Council (KOFIC) consists of four sections. The first section of the first day will provide an overview of the latest trends of film policies of global film institutes and a time to share policies and ideas to develop daily image culture with panels of British Film Institute (BFI) Digital Director Edward Humphrey, Centre National du Cinéma (CNC) International Co-productions Director Julien Ezanno and Elisa Suppa, Telefilm Canada’s Senior Advisor for Strategy and Research.

    On the subsequent section of the day, Ted Hope, Head of Motion Picture Production at Amazon Studios will introduce the company’s design and production of open contents, while Matthew Liebmann, Senior Vice President at MOVIO will present big data marketing trends combined the industrial trends and customer behaviors.

    On the second day, there will be series of seminars with overseas film industry experts: studies about movie industries in Vietnam, Indonesia and Taiwan and case studies about co-productions like ‘New Partners of Korean Film Industry, Three Asian Countries’ and ‘Production, Investment and Marketing strategies of American Independent Films’. Especially on the second section, Anne Lai, Creative Producing Initiative Director at Sundance Institute, Alix Madigan, Mad Dog Film’s producer and Vanessa Hope, American independent film director and producer will provide tips for Korean indie films.
