Korean Film Council (KOFIC) is holding “2016 K-Cinema Global Networking in Indonesia” in Jakarta for 3 days from August 10th through 12th. It is an event designed to promote Korean cinema in the Indonesian market and expand film exchanges between the two countries.

Earlier in June this year, KOFIC also held “2016 K-Cinema Global Networking in Vietnam” in Ho Chi Minh. After the event where the local and Korean film producers met, two or three film projects are being promoted for co-production. With such tangible results, KOFIC expects to have a Korean-Vietnamese co-produced film released in Vietnam by as early as within next year.

Likewise, “K-Cinema Global Networking in Indonesia,” the second event in South East Asia this year to be held by KOFIC, is also expected to have such productive results. This event consists of various programs including “Korean-Indonesian Film Company Showcase” to introduce major film companies from the two countries; “Global Networking,” a one on one business meeting for film industry in both countries; “Film Industry Development Forum” to develop and expand film exchanges in both countries and “Night of Film Industry Exchanges” for filmmakers and businessmen’s network building.
