It has been mutually agreed that the Korean film industry’s power comes from its rich human resources. Korean Film Council (KOFIC, Chairman KIM Eui-suk) has been working hard to develop a variety of programs in support of domestic films and its industry and has become a benchmark as an international promotion agency, leading to its recent recognition as an organization with best human resources development. At the Best HRD evaluation on November 7th organized by the Ministry of Education and Safety Administration, KOFIC was awarded with the ‘Best HRD’ acknowledgement in the public sector with a certificate.

 

The certification of ‘Best HRD’ looks at the hiring of talented individuals and the development of the employees through variety of classes and lectures. With this certification, the government will grant a certified mark, which can be used as a logo for 3 years.

 

In 2014, a total of 47 organizations were selected. Within the selected, 18 organizations were newly certified while 29 were returning. KOFIC was one of the new organizations. KOFIC’s chairman KIM Eui-suk said, “we’re very honored to be certified as a Best HRD. We look forward to providing even more support programs to help develop our employees one by one. In addition, through improved human resources management, we hope to nurture more talents that will aid in the development of the Korean film industry as a whole.”
