  • TWENTY vs. FAST & FURIOUS 7: A Korean Youth Comedy vs. A Hollywood Series
  • by LEE Yu-jin /  Apr 21, 2015
  • Who Will Hit 3M Admissions First?
Fast & Furious 7 and Twenty are both close to reaching 3 million admissions. Although new releases came into the picture, Fast & Furious 7 is strong at holding the 1st place. In its 3rd week of release, the film added 472,209 more ticket sales and the cumulative admissions is now at 2,861,444. Daily ticket sales are over 150,000, which means hitting 3 million isn’t that far from its reach. This will be the first time for the series to surpass the milestone.

In its fourth week in theaters, Twenty also only has 35,447 more tickets to sell before hitting the 3 million mark. Through Twenty, KIM Woo-bin is able to finally hit the milestone, which he barely missed in Friend: The Great Legacy (2013) with 2,971,475. However, both films fear for the release of The Avengers: Age of Ultron on April 23rd. The film is selling like hot cakes with 90% presales rate. Before the heroes hit the screens, Twenty and Fast & Furious 7 both must fight to hit the 3 million mark.
