  • Gordicus aquaticus is a mutant parasite. The number of deaths due to this parasite is on the rise and a man fights for his family. Although this could be considered a disaster film and it's also a zombie film in the tone of <28 Days Later>. A film of either genre has rarely been made in Korea and they've not had much success. PARK was a successful writer of comedies including <Attack the Gas Station> and <Kick the Moon>. Since then, he has been working as the director, helming <Dance with the Wind> and <Big Bang> but so far, his films have been unable to attain the level of success he enjoyed as a writer. PARK says he wanted to "make a disaster film with a warm human touch" with this film. KIM Myung-min in the main role has not been as successful in films as he has been in TV dramas but last year's <Detective K> was more than enough to prove his bankability at the box office. If <The Virus> turns out to be a success following <Pacemaker>, then Kim will solidify his position as one of the most bankable stars in the industry.
